Directors

Louise Jones
Founder & Musical Director
Louise has always had a love for singing and has been in various choirs all her life. Inspired by Gareth Malone and the Military Wives Choir she felt that a ladies choir was just what Kibworth needed, and the rest is history.
Outside of choir, Louise is very busy running her own Barking Mad Dog care business.

Yvette Sexton

Trina Ward

“I enjoy collaborating with the other directors, and at our weekly sessions I like to use my vocal training to pass on tips and exercises to support their vocal health, ability, and to have fun of course!”

Chris McCormick
Piano Accompanist
Since joining in 2014, the choir has gone from strength to strength due to Chris’s bespoke piano accompaniments bring out the very best in the choir.

“My favourite memory was probably being able to go back to choir after the pandemic!”

Jo Cole

“My favourite memories – I have two! Being chosen to take part in the Gareth Malone BBC choir concert, and also being the winning choir in our first ever competition and singing Creep by Radiohead as one of our amazing winning songs!”

Julia Day
Events Coordinator
Julia joined the choir in 2013 and has participated in many of the choirs exciting competitions and events over the years. With Julia’s background in stage management, she has been able to offer her time and expertise when planning choir events and performances.
“I think one of my favourite memories was being announced as winners of the first choir competition we entered. We were having so much fun, just enjoying the occasion for what it was, drinking port and soaking it all up so the announcement as winners was a complete shock. The collective emotional response was huge, and it was a real bonding moment for us.”
